This Super Tuscan is crafted from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Colorino grapes which are left on the vines until almost over-ripe. They are then harvested and fermented singly before aging in large oak barrels (Cabernet Sauvignon) and barriques (Sangiovese and Colorino). The result is a wine ruby red in colour with aromas of pepper, tobacco and coffee as well as some herbaceous notes. On the palate it is generous with red fruit and a gentle spice warmth and softness and a slightly toasty finish.
