Although labelled a Viognier, this wine is actually a blend with Chenin Blanc and Muscat Canelli.
The grapes are from River Junction AVA in California, located at the confluence of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Rivers. The vineyards here sit below the waterline most of the year, resulting in temperatures 2-5 degrees cooler than the surrounding area and a more prominent diurnal temperature swing; an excellent climate for premium Viognier.
 
The resulting light straw wine is bursting with aromas of stone and tropical fruits such as pineapple, peach, pear and apricot. The palate if full, rich, smooth and intensely fruity,  balanced with minerality and acidity, a hint of vanilla and a long finish.
 
Pair with white meats, summer salads or enjoy well chilled an an aperitif.
