From the Lodi AVA in California, this is a Pinot Noir with a touch of Petit Sirah and is harvested between August 17th and August 27th. Fermentation takes 6-9 days, on the skins, the must was pressed and the resulting wine was finished in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in French and American Oak for 6 months.
The result is a light purple wine, with a complex nose of cherry, strawberry and raspberry, with hints of smoke and vanilla. These scents are reflacted on the palate, where they are supported by balanced acidity and soft tannins, the Petit Sirah lending a touch of weight.
Pair with Lamb, pulled Pork and Charcuterie.
