From the countryside of Chianti, this superb blend of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes was recently awarded 90 points by James Suckling.
The wine is a rich dark red, with some violet hints, the nose is warm, fragrant and delicate with notes of ripe cherries, juicy plums, blueberry and hedgerow fruits. On the palate, it is harmonious, rich and soft with a delicate tannin structure, the fruits reflecting the nose. There is good length and a warming quality, leading to a pleasant, balanced finish.
Pair with tomato based pasta dishes or grilled / roatsed meats.
