Made from late harvested Merlot (60%), Primitivo (30%) and Negroamaro (10%), super ripe grapes are selected for the Appassimento, a rich and raisiny dry red that is not unlike a ripasso Valpolicella in style.
Intense, deep purple in colour, it is full and persistent on the nose giving notes of dark fruits, spice, chocolate and vanilla. The palate is full bodied with notes of black fruits, spice and chocolate. There is a perfect balance between silky, soft tannins and acidity which all lead into a long, rich and fruit forward finish.
 
Pair with salamis, roast meats, game and full flavoured mature cheeses.
